Driving from the south
Leave the A1 at the first Newark/Balderton exit. Follow the same road through one
set of traffic lights in Balderton and a further set in the Newark suburbs. At the
next set of traffic lights go straight on (passing the old Robin Hood Hotel). After
about 400 yards the road bends sharply to the right. You will find us immediately
after the bend, through the swan and salmon archway on your left.
Driving from the North or East
Leave the A1 at the A46 exit and follow the signs into Newark town centre. You will travel over the Northgate railway bridge, passing a retail estate on your right (Currys etc). Go straight on at the traffic lights (passing Queen Street on your left). At the roundabout go straight on into Castlegate. Newark Castle will be on your right. There are two sets of zebra crossings, immediately after the second crossing you will see the Swan and Salmon arch and Clark & English on your right.
