Access to Workshops and Showrooms
Don't let our awkward access put you off Clark & English.
We are based in a very old building in the centre of Newark and access is by steps. Our main access has three concrete steps with a handrail.
If that will cause difficulties for you, please telephone us in advance. We are happy to bring our showrooms to you and will happily arrange a time to visit you in your own home with as many sample books as you want to see. We will also be able to talk through your design options and do all the measuring for you and, if you want us to make up your design, we will get it fitted for you as well.
Can our work support your specific needs?
Design is not always just about the aesthetics.
Sometime we take simple tasks for granted. Some people might experience difficulties when, say, using the conventional controls on a window blind; in having to reach over furniture for an awkward window or sometimes in simply trying to open and close a pair of curtains. We can't promise to remove all of these difficulties all of the time but we can promise to look carefully at the design options from a different angle and sometimes, together with the technology available, we can help reduce some of these disadvantages to normal day to day life.
From time to time we have had the pleasure of working for clients with their own very special requirements. Working together with relatives, carers, O.T's and other therapists we have created soft furnishings that are consistent with care plan objectives such as sensory stimulation and achieving total blackout for daytime sleeping.
We enjoy a challenge, but moreover we enjoy seeing people truly delighted with what we make for them. If you, or someone you care for, has any particular requirements dont be worried about talking them through with us. We are keen to help.
